Depends ... English language required or not?

If English is required, then:
- Monsters Inc indeed
- Equilibrium (called Rebellion in Japan)

If Japanese only is OK, then:
- Kurosawa Akira box set(s)
- Death Note & Death Note the Last Name
- 20th Century Boys 1 & 2
- Koutetsujin Jeeg Box
- all Gundam 00 BD's
- Lupin Sansei 3: Cogliostro no Shiro
- Brave Story
- Saint Seiya the Lost Canvas vol 1 & 2
- Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z-ban Box 1 (release on 25/08/2009)
- Toki o kakeru shoujo

From what I've heard their T2 2-disc set is better than the US one. Wish I'd bought it when I saw it a few months ago...

Equilibrium is the key Japanese BD since it has the correct OAR and HD sound. Only place in the world that can be found.

She did get Monsters Inc. and The Island. SisInLaw from Japan coming in couple months. Maybe she could bring The Crow & Rebellion as well. Thanks guys for your input!

Amazon is the best place to get blu-rays in Japan: they carry every title and for virtually every title, they have the best price. I've checked with shops like GeoGeo, Tsutaya, Video100 but Amazon always came out cheaper and had much more in stock. Whenever I'm in Japan, that's where I get my blu's as well.

Also: if you don't mind buying used blu's, there are usually some good deals to be had at Book Off. I found Gundam: Char no Hangeki blu-ray for less than half the price there. I still regret not picking it up then

Godzilla films are coming soon, and so is a Kurosawa box set. There are also Kamen Rider movies on blu-ray. Lots of good choice.

I love Monsters Inc., but not enough to get the Japanese version (unless I want to watch it in Japanese ). I'd concentrate on getting Blus that may not come to the US for a while (Monsters Inc. is coming soon).

I know. I was just saying I wouldn't get the Japanese Blu of Monsters Inc when I know a US version is coming. I ain't in that big a hurry. I rather get the Godzilla Blus, which may take a while and may not be up to the same standard as the Japan versions, or the Kamen Rider Blus, which may never come.

Well, it depends...do you understand Japanese quite well? And how big are you into Japanese pop culture or cinema?

Are you the trendier type of person who enjoyed Japanese dramas?

Then I can easily recommend on BD that others haven't mentioned (these two are Japanese dramas):

Hana Yori Dango 1 and 2 / 花より男子
Kita no Kuni Kara / 北の国から (specifically 1998)

Or did you once live in Tokyo and are homesick?

virtual trip 空撮 東京夜景 TOKYO TWILIGHT FROM THE AIR
virtual trip TOKYO 渋谷 underground to ground

or a variety show:

世界の絶景100選 ベストセレクション

hey thanks a lot, I've never ordered a foreign blu-ray before, well I have if you count Canada. Is it region free as all I have is my ps3 and also could you give me an estimate on what shipping would be? Sorry about all the questions I just really prefer this version to the unrated cut. I appreciate any help.
