Need Help Looking To Buy A Region Free Blu-Ray Player - Blu-ray Forum

Ok guys well here is my situation. I'm an american who's living in Germany and will be here until September 2011. I currently have a a 60GB PS3 which I use to watch all of my blu-ray movies. I've really wanted to get a stand alone blu-ray player for sometime now, but since I'm out and here and will be here for awhile I want to get a region free blu-ray player so I can buy and watch some blu-ray's that are region b and are other blu-ray's that are exclusive to europe and Germany.

So far I've heard the Oppo BPD-83 and LG200 are the best region free players.

Any other suggestions ?

There's the Momitsu BDP-899 that a lot of people seem to like. There's a review here.

check out ebay there are loads of region free blu ray player from brands like pioneer, oppo, sony & panasonic the seller is multi-system the shop is based in the U.S.A. i bought one of the pioneer ones that just turned up to day.

If you are located in Germany and will be there for more than a year, I would not recommend buying a player from the US, because your warranty is expired before your return. I do not know a (re)seller in Germany, but I recommend Stegen in The Netherlands (in Rhoon, which is just below Rotterdam).

As you probably know by now, players in Europe are more expensive (although they advertise including 19% tax), so your best bet IMHO(!) would be the relatively affordable Panasonic BD-60 here (with warranty): http://www.stegen.com/product_info.p...oducts_id/1078
