Default does Batman Begins sound as good as Dark Knight?

I am pretty impressed with the audio in Dark Knight..

does the Batman Begins sound just as good? I havn't watched this movie in a while. But I remember was more action in it than DK.

I thought the TrueHD track for Batman Begins sounded great!

To me, Batman Begins has a more "even" or "flatter" equalization over The Dark Knight. It sounds quite good. The Dark Knight emphasizes both mid-bass and low bass, making for a weighty, heavier overall sound.

If your concern is that it doesn't sound good, don't worry. It's quite well done.

Dark Knight gets the slight edge in the LFE department. Make no mistake, BB sounds terrific.

began sound very good, but i think some sound are slight better because of the composer not really a transfer thing. pq is different story, dark knight pq is much better than began.

It sounds pretty good. Not bad, but not reference quality. The big knock for me on it was that the low end wasn't as strong as I'd hoped, but I like my action movies with mucho bass.

The picture was what underwhelmed me when comparing to TDK and other BDs out there, but I still don't regret having bought it. It's a solid film.

Batman Begins was my first Blu-Ray. Of course it sounded great at the time, nothing like I had ever experienced. It isn't as good as DK, but it is reference-worthy.

Why does everyone drop 'The' in The Dark Knight now? Anyway The Dark Knight does have more activity in the LFE.

It was a bigger film. People were expecting more out of the Blu release.

TDK has a lower and punchier bass extension than BB. Overall, I prefer the PQ of BB over that of TDK. Yes, TDK has those fantastic IMAX scenes but everything else looks rather crappy (rampant EE, scattered shimmering, random DNR, etc). But BB isn't reference quality in the video epartment since, although detailed, it's clearly on the soft side.

honestly, i'd say they are a tie.

TDK would have been better, but i actually thought the LFE was a little overkill. there was a scene or two where it actually drowned out the dialogue, but that was only a few words i couldn't make out. BB is great!

Batman Begins seems to sound more nuanced and subtle while The Dark Knight has more of a "summer blockbuster" sound. I'm sure someone here understands what I mean.

Begins has amazing sound, the scene where the bats invade arkham and he gets away in the tumbler, followed by the police chase is one of my most played demo scenes

The sound mix on the Bluray is great, dialoge never gets distored and sound effects and music have a nice balance

I'd call it a tie in the AQ dept between the two nolan Batman films

The Dark Knight's LFE is definetly enhanced... as a result, we get that raspy/froggy voice of Bale when he's in costume.

Which is exactly as it sounded in Batman Begins. Especially during the collapse of the train. When he says "I won't kill you. But I don't have to save you", his dialogue is boosted so it's heard over the music and sounds of the collapsing train tracks.
