Default Movies that never even got a decent *DVD* release

I have a long list of movies I'd like to see on Blu-Ray. The problem is, many of them never even got a decent *DVD* release - so the chances of them getting released on Blu are slim-to-none. A few examples:

The Paper - DVD only released in Full Frame
Fierce Creatures - DVD only released in Full Frame... but it was released in widescreen on VHS

Erik the Viking - only released as the inferior, chopped-up, horribly-edited, disastrous "Director's Son's Cut"

(...I was about to include Under the Rainbow, but I just now found that it's available now as one of those "Warner Archive" titles. )

...and I won't even get started on the hundreds of titles released on DVD, but in non-anamorphic/enhanced for 16x9 widescreen. I would hope all blu's do the widescreen properly.

I'm still waiting for a quaint little B-movie called "Mind Warp" to come out!

Any non-anamorphic DVD releases of Disney movies aren't decent by me, so Hercules and few others are on my BD wishlist.

As far as I know, Criterion has the rights, but don't seem to be doing anything with it.

I think The Uninvited (1944) never got a dvd release. There's a vhs and TCM has shown it but there is no dvd release I can think of.

The MTV show "Celebrity Deathmatch" would be sweet too. There was a best-of disc at one point, but never a whole series or season set. At this point, I'd hope for Blu-Rays. I doubt it'll ever be released though (does anybody even remember this stuff?).

Default There are also BR's that never got a decent release

These are movies I'd love to add to my BR collection but since they are scarcely better than their DVD release it is hard for me to justify a double dip.

Fantastic Four
Fugitive
Heartbreak Ridge
Italian Job, The
Lethal Weapon
Lethal Weapon II
Ronin
Sahara
Terminator
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Transporter
Walking Tall

Ken Russell's The Devils has still not been officially released on DVD, and the VHS version was cut. Some bootleg of a TV screening on DVD is the only way you can watch the movie uncut... so yeah, a BD release for that would be cool!

I always wanted At Play in the Fields of the Lord on DVD, but it never happened. What a great film that was. My fingers are crossed for BD release.

I'm also waiting impatiently for a BD version of The Abyss, which never got an anamorphic DVD release. Thankfully the two Grumpy Old Men movies are available. They never got an anamorphic versions (P&S only) either. Now I'm hoping for Howard Stern's Private Parts (no anamorphic DVD... letterboxed 4:3 only).

Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future never received a DVD release and that would be nice to have on BD. Also, The Shadow never received a proper DVD release at is presented in 1.33:1 while the film was shot in 1.85:1.

Definately "THE DEVILS" also Ken Russel's "THE BOY FRIEND" which all in all is a pretty good film with some really beautiful sequences

Closetland (1991) -- Only relaesed in R2

Not saying this one requires the PQ of BLU, its cinematography was quite boring. I think it's one of Alan Rickman's best films though.

LOVE this movie. It's a great acting showcase. I always wondered if it was adapted from a stage play. Both Rickman and Madeline Stowe were stellar in this.
