Default Blu-ray's slow trickle.

Wondering if you guy's know why blu-ray's are coming out at such a slow pace. Is it royalty problems? After the fall of HD DVD, I thought it would be like a huge wave. But its been kind of disapointing. Is the transfer process. really that difficult? I know it's a newbie question.

I would have to disagree. They are coming out pretty fast, howbeit the titles we want may be a different story. We have 23 titles being released next Tuesday. We are probably getting anywhere from 80-100 titles a month. That is pretty good imao.

I am sure for a lot of them they are trying to tie them in with movies being released in theaters and such.....is all timing and maximizing profits.

That and also older movies take longer to process over and most old movies that studios release are usually big movies so they will try to milk it. But thats just my $.02!

Nope not at all...they are being release on a good pace now..

During the war you would go maybe 2 weeks before one new release on Blu..now you have to decide which one can wait

Almost every day I check this site, I see news about another movie heading to blu-ray. Maybe they aren't all the major titles, but many are starting to be, not to mention every movie that has hit theaters over the last few years almost always has a release on DVD AND Blu-ray now. It's picking up speed

I dont think so but I do hate how I have:
half of the james bond out
lethal weapon 1 and 2 but not the other 2
rocky 1 and 6 but not the rest
indiana jone 4 but not the first 3

that is what is to slow

I must admit the problem has more to do with my taste. I once made the mistake of asking when Blast from The Past might come out. "it was a lynching".
