When will they bring TV shows to Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

I can't wait until all my favorite shows come to Blu-ray. I'm mostly looking forward to Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, and Andromeda. Yes, big Sci-fi fan here!

Smallville season 6 on September 18th. This date is now burned into my mind and I will obsess about it until it gets here!

Didn't Fox state they were going to bring 24 season 1 to Blu Ray soon? Not sure if this was in the UK or not.

I hope they´ll bring all tv series on Blu-ray .... at least most of them

"Rescue Me" is also available on Blu-ray.

Fox said 24 Season 1 & Prison Break Season 1 are coming to Blu-ray, but didnt' say when. (Personally if they don't give us a release date, then I would perfer them not to tell us.)

Smallivlle (Season 6 is coming September 18, 2007)
Stargate SG-1 (No word, hopefully when FOX gets back in the game)
Stargate Atlantis (Season 1 was to be one of the First TV shows on Blu-ray, so where is it?)
Battlestar Galactica (Not anytime soon. Universal is still HD-DVD only)
Andromeda (No word, not sure who owns it either)
Star Trek (Orginal Series is being remastered, not sure when it will be done. I would prefer TNG)

Other Sci-fi Shows I want on Blu-ray

X-Files (It's from FOX, they've been slacking)
Farscape (I don't know who owns it, but I would love to have it on Blu-ray at a reasonable price)
Supernatural (WB)
Firefly (Fox)
Babylon 5 (WB)

That’s all I can think of, right now. I’m sure there’s more I want.

Lionsgate says Dead Zone is coming this year although when and what season is unknown.

Damn man, I am right there with you! This is by far the biggest release for me on Blu-ray!! More-so than movies!

I hope not. They started Weeds with season 1. I'm hoping they do the same with Dead Zone as I've never seen it, and I don't intend on starting to purchase it on DVD with season 1.

i dont think it would be the best promo material for blu-ray, but id love to watch friends on BD.

I wonder how many seasons they can fit on a blu-ray disk? It will be cool if they have multiple season on one disk with cool interface to separate each. They should also add commentaries from the actors and directors, and also fan stuff like the GreenArrow comics they show during Smallville episodes.

Did no one mention Sopranos, or did I miss it?

Season 6 looks phenomenal on blu-ray. Sounds great too. I'm hoping now that the series is over, the whole shebang will be released on blu-ray.
