Default Calibration question

Hey Guys, not sure if this is the right place for this question if not I appoligize, but in reguards to tv calibration I have a Philips 42PFL7422D/37 and have used the other threads in changing settings and it looks ok on Blu but I have SD cable and I cant seem to get it to look ok, looks rather pixelated and I think its "tourched" as the reds and rights are in your face bight but in reguards to say the DVE dvds can I use one for both HD And SD or do I need seperate ones?

I saw this link mentioned in another thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=948496
is this acceptable for both.

I do have diffrent settings for what I have hooked up blu (sony bdx1 I think from costco) via hdmi, xbox360 via componet and standard Cox cable via coax. I cant seem to think there is more out of this set them I am getting and any idea or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Brian

I used to have the same set and have posted my old settings in the Calibration section here. I based them off of AVS posts, so you're probably looking at the same thread I had.

Only recommendation I can add is to keep the sharpness below 5- it adds artifacts and really causes the panel to flicker on panning shots due to the processing required. Zero I felt was too soft, and others have agreed on that particular set.
