Default The biggest Marvel Movie Mistakes.

The biggest Marvel Movie Mistakes.
For me this is what theses films needed:

X-Men 3 shouldn't have blown away Cyclops for no real reason and they should have at least attempted a CGI Dark Phoenix.

Ghost Rider should have had Sam Elliot ride into battle, even if he was taken out early he should have at least went into the fight. His whole reason for being to me was meanless just to have him ride to the edge of town and say adios.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer should've attempted a CGI Galactus. The giant in the Day the Earth Stood Still looked pretty good to me. I think it could have been done right.

Elektra should have been more faithful to Elektra's costumes in the comics, and while I like Jennifer Garner, I think they could've gotten someone better fit for the role.

Spider-Man 3: They shouldn't have made Peter Parker and emo kid after he merged with the symbiotic organism.

Both Fantastic Four movies, and X-Men 3 existence are the only ones that come to mind.

Jessica Biel, Ryan Reynolds, and Patton Oswalt in Blade Trinity. There was no point in having them in the movie. Did blade really need help? No. The whole movie was just horrible, it could have been so much better.

I really hated Spiderman 3, but I actually like Both Fantastic Four movies, and X-Men 3 despite the flaws. I especially loved the casting of Human Torch, the Thing and the Beast.

That's not what was wrong with Spider-man 3.

Problems with Spider-man 3 are the following:

#1: Black costume. Should have dipped more toward the iconic "Venom" design. The concept of the texture and webbing remaining is a good one I think, but I need to see that giant white spider. Same for Venom: needs giant white spider. I'd also say overuse of the "mask-less" Venom.

#2: Misuse of Venom. Should have left it as a teaser to a sequel, should NOT have killed off Eddie Brock. Should not have had Venom deciding to work together with someone else to take on Spider-man.

#3: Sandman's motivation makes absolutely no sense toward the end.

#4: The over-the-top dance number with Gwen. I can take the strut/dance sequence, but the sequence with Gwen was just not right.

#5: Misuse of Gwen Stacy. It was a backfired attempt at fanservice. Either do Gwen Stacy RIGHT or don't do her at all.

#6: Amnesia or something. Seriously, what?

Peter's behavior, his clothing, his hair: it's all fine. Everything else is fine. Even Harry, even Mary Jane.

My opinions on this are absolute. Anyone who disagrees with me in the slightest is simply wrong.

What exactly did you hate about Affleck in Daredevil? I didn't think he was the best either, but I disliked Colin Farrell more.

While I didn't hate X-Men 3, it felt rushed and incomplete. After the build up to the Dark Phoenix Saga in X-2, I thought we'd get a great finale to the X-Men Trilogy.

+10, m'friend--
If we're talking Comic Canon, there's enough for a sub-thread on the mistakes the other movies made.

(Frank Castle in Miami? No.
Dolph-Punisher in no-skull motorcycle gear? No.
Dolph-Punisher giving good-Batman advice to little kids at the end? No, and dear gods, no. )

Yeah dudes, don't front on War Zone. Pitch perfect portrayal of The Punisher. If you didn't like it, that character is not right for you. If you preferred either previous films to War Zone, your understanding of the character is just plain wrong.

The third X-Men film could have been one of the ultimate comic book films, but it was rushed into production with a weak script and a director of dubious ability, and the result was disappointing to say the least.

Couldn't agree more.

I don't have this vitriolic hate of Brett Ratner like some (I did like Rush Hour & Red Dragon) but I don't think he was the right guy to take over for Bryan Singer.

So the villain had goofy makeup, and the scriptwriter had a goofy pottymouthed fetish. BIG. DEAL.
It's still not the Travolta movie.

At least we got the "real" Marvel-approved badass-machine Punisher down on film ONCE, so that better hands (like, say, Marvel keeping it in the family now that Lionsgate's contractual requirements are ended) might learn from it and not stray from the path.
