I'm surprised nobody has posted this yet. I am a huge fan of Curb and Larry David and am really looking forward to the next season. This news just makes it even more awesome.

The announcement was made during the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" TCA panel in which creator/star David revealed some details about the show's "Seinfeld" cast reunion.

The "Curb" story line features the NBC sitcom's cast members -- Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards -- playing themselves as they agree to a series revival. The "Seinfeld" cast will appear in five episodes that track the process of restarting the classic sitcom, picking up the characters' lives 11 years later.

"For years, I've been asked about a 'Seinfeld' reunion," said David, co-creator of the hit NBC comedy. "We'll see the read-through, parts of rehearsals, the show being filmed. You won't see the entire (mock 'Seinfeld' episode)."

The "Seinfeld" reunion idea will be introduced a couple of episodes in and will be the main arc this season, which might wrap with an hourlong finale.

Cool! I'm a big fan of Curb too. I heard about the cast being on Curb but I had no idea what the premise was; that sunds awesome and I can't wait!

I heard they were all going to be in the seventh season but this sounds like it will be well beyond my initial expectations!

This thread brings up an interesting point...Does any one think Seinfeld would have been a better show on HBO?

No. HBO was garbage for most of the time Seinfeld was on. It would not be nearly as popular. HBO didn't really strike gold until the Sopranos in 1999, before that it was a mediocre subscriber base to watch movies on one or two channels (not 10 at the time) and the occasional boxing match or documentary.

Seinfeld would've failed miserably on HBO. Curb does well because of Seinfeld's success and the advent of DVD.

haha, i just came in here to post my comments about Larry's fake faint in last nights episode, that gif is great

Last nights episode was brilliant, it just flowed great and the humour was spot on and well timed. Larry's faint was the funniest thing I have seen on TV in a long time

i give the episode 5/5 lets hope the rest of the season is just as good

I laughed because I thought the faint was real (Larry would drop funny if he did faint) and the fact that he did so in realizing he couldn't break up with his gf and would have to do all that stuff for her. He was overwhelmed by what would happen to him, not to her...typical Larry. Either way, great episode.
