Hopefully they have the subtitles for the alien language. They were missing from the recent aussie release.

The German BD release made the same mistake.

Hopefully the UK release will finally correct this problem.

Alien Nation subtitles update:

This film was released without the alien subtitles on the disc, this has now been rectified and all future stock will be produced with the subs included, in retailers from Monday 27th March. The way to be sure that they are on the copy you buy is that they will be listed an an extra on the front along with "poster & reversible sleeve".

Sainsbury's exclusive Blu-Ray will show "English subtitles" option on the back cover, if it doesn't list subtitles then it will be the version without alien subs.
If you have purchased a copy of the film already or happen to buy one in the future without the subtitles included and you want a correct, replacement copy then please do the following:

Take a photo of the physical product alongside the receipt/email proof of purchase and email to us at the 101 Films info email address: info(at)101-films(dot)com. Write "Alien Nation replacement" in the subject field and include your postal address.
We will then be happy to send you a replacement copy free of charge.

What's the difference with the Sainsbury's exclusive? I might pop down at some point. Is it just a cheaper supermarket edition, like Powerhouse's Christine one?

This is a must own movie, I imported the Australian release so I've been able to enjoy this for a year now, but no subs and Umbrella state there never were subs

Buying this looking forward to it....again.

the picture looked like it had one. Enquired with 101 about it but no word back yet

There's no slip, the picture looks a bit like that because it's in a scanavo case.

They told us they were looking into it ages ago, but I emailed them recently and I got this response this past Sunday.

I'd rather buy it again fixed, although tbh the subs part isn't distracting to the story. Seen it enough times on DVD and can tell the jist anyways. But...I do want it correct.

£10 is a great price. It's not an essential replacement as I said above so I can wait until it's a fiver.

Did anyone else laugh at the idea of them differentiating batches, by having the subs mentioned on the cover? Bunch of haphazard clowns.
