Just watched this. Fantastic transfer, rather weird but wonderful storyline. Comes with 3D slipcase and glasses. Although you'd be a fool to watch this in 3D and lose all that stunning imagery.

I tried to find a thread on this, but none could be found. Recommended.

My copy arrived from Amazon yesterday (even with super saver shipping). I can't wait to watch it. I won't be attempting the 3D version of it though. Having had my geek excitement dashed when attempting to watch the 3D blu ray of My Bloody Valentine, it's not an experience I care to repeat. Certainly not on a film as gorgeous as this.

Picked it up 2 weeks ago and haven't watched it yet, as I wanted some info on the 3-D experience. Sounds or "looks" rather like I should avoid it and just go with the regular 2-D version.

Just to confirm popcultureboy, you have the official UK Blu-ray version?

It sucks if it's only one disc, with no DVD version!

Play.com's listing says it comes with a DVD!? Is that a typo I wonder or is their version different?

Can anyone with the UK version please confirm whether it has BD-Live functionality? There should hopefully be a "What's New" or "BD-Live" link somewhere in the menus?

And what are the audio language options on the UK BD anyone? Does the UK version come with 4 pairs of 3D glasses?

Thanks!

I have to say i thoroughly enjoyed the 3D experience, Obviously it isn't as impressive as the 2D, Which is excellent, But it it certainly worth a watch.

The consensus certainly seems to be that the 2-D version is better. So for my first viewing I'll do 2-D and then go back in a few days and watch it in 3-D. It'll actually be the very first time I've ever watched a film in 3-D, so that's certainly something to look forward to!.

Thanks dirkblack!

I won't! Promise! This was a blind-buy for me as the price at Wal-mart was only $19.97, and I figured that's about the lowest I'll see it for in a while.

I saw this movie for the first time last week - in 2D - and really enjoyed it. I had a sneek peek at the 3D version and it looked quite good though you lose a lot of the colours. Will make my next full viewing of it in 3D but will generally stick to the 2D one after that.

I saw it in 3D at the cinema, it was really great. But for home viewing it's better to stick with the 2D. The coloured glasses hurt my eyes and it destroys the colour scheme, it's horrible.

But anyway, it looks great on blu-ray. Just a shame they can't exactly replicate the cinematic experience, I believe it was shown at 48fps in the cinema which isn't even an option for home cinemas.
