What's Your Favorite Stallone Movie - Blu-ray Forum

I'm a child of the 80s and Stallone is my favorite action star ever. He's had some good and some bad ones like most action stars. Anyway what is your favorite Stallone movie and why.

My pick would probably be First Blood because it was just a really good action movie with great stars and the acting was excellent imo.

Tough choice, but I went for Rocky Balboa. It was between that, Rocky, and First Blood.

No "Party at Kitty and Stud's"?

Actually it is called Rambo: First Blood part II. I know cause it was the first rated R movie I saw as a kid.

Night Hawks & then Copland - 2 very under-rated movies, esp. the 2nd one - showed he can really ACT when given good material IMO. RAMBO: First Blood is near the top as well with the Original ROCKY of course.

There is no such film with this title. The OP has the correct names with

1.First Blood
2.Rambo; First Blood Part 2
3.Rambo 3
4.Rambo

As for his best, it has to be a 3 way tie between First Blood-Rocky and Tango & Cash(for pure 80's silliness).

Out of the 3, I went the Rocky route as he wrote it as well.

Not my favorite, but I always enjoyed Cliffhanger. It's a fun Stallone flick with a lot of action. I wonder when we'll get it on blu-ray.

Cliffhanger and Demolition Man are the next 2 I want.

leem6453, being born in 73 is not that unusual, I am sure there are many of us.

Great year for film (Exorcist, High Plains Drifter, Serpico) and music (Floyds-Dark side of the moon, Queens debut and the first Tubular Bells as used on Halloween1978)

Cliffhanger on Blu. It's not the greatest of Blus but it's definitely an upgrade from DVD. The panoramic shots and detail on rock faces is quite nice, plus you get to watch Leon be a badass and try not to think of him in Cool Runnings

Forgot about 'Night hawks'.Voted for 'Copland'.That is proof that he still got it when THAT was made.Think he needs a strong director to get good work done....

As for me, I picked Cliffhanger, always been a favorite of mine. Still haven't seen Cop Land, but keep hearing positive things about it. I'll need to add that to my queue soon
