Default $350,000.00

I just finished acid staining a 1,500 square foot garage floor for Mr…. who has been building his home since 2004. His family is finally moving in this Friday.

Today he took me to see his home theatre that is being built and the room with all the electronics. The theatre is actually a room built within another room.

While I was there, a team of home theatre installers were running all the wiring throughout the entire home. I have never seen that much wiring and that many electronics. I noticed that there were three Denon DVD players, one marked His, another Hers and another marked Kids. In an adjoining room hanging on the wall were two 50” flat LCDs side by side. I asked him if they were a His and Her TVs? He said “no.” They were both for him incase he wanted to watch two games at the same time.

The reason for this thread is: Mr… asked me if the system was worth the $350,000.00 he was spending. I told him absolutely. Had to make him feel better.

As soon as the theatre (built for his grand kids) is finished, I will post a lot of pictures.

01/07/09 update

Today I stopped by and took some photos and collected some component info.

Because I have trouble posting pictures on the forum, I set up a web site for the photos and info. I will update as I get more shots.

You gotta give us more to go on than this! What kind of speakers? What type of setup are we talking (separates, multiple receivers)? I realize he's early in the process, but this sounds like its going to be sweet!

can't wait

I would really hope so, also for $350,000 (Price of a decent house in most areas). Two 50 inchers seem small, but that's just me.

The theatre was still in the building stage. The 7 speakers were in the ceiling and the "4" holes in the walls (two behind the seats and two behind what will be the roll down screen) were ready for the subs.

My guess it will be a projector. I was over whelmed and I did not ask about the projector.

That I thought was odd. I did not see one. He told me he did not watch movies and the theatre was really for the grand kids. Maybe he did know or care about Blus.

The two 50s were not in the theatre but a joining room for him. The theatre will have a large roll down.
