I'm looking into buying surround sound. I must admit i donbt really know alot about it. I looked in the virgin thread and did some reading. I was curious if the all in one systems are worth it or even any good? I always thought you needed a reciever but these dont come with one this is the one i was looking at.http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218098557911 any help would be greatly appreciated

Some HTiB are ok I had one for my very first system and it was Sony. It lasted for at least 10yrs (still have the reciever). I guess it just comes down to how much money your willing to spend. If you have the cash I would buy individual components like a standalone AV receiver, speakers etc... If you can't there is nothing wrong with a HTiB

HtiB is okay. You can get a cheap one as well as an expensive one. If you are looking at the high end, it is worth checking component systems as well. In general, a component system would give a superior performance. It all depends on you budget.
