I hope Transformers will come out for BD before Christmas. I can't wait to see it in HD.

I think if we see the three spider-man movies (separate) then the first one will be the top seller.

No way Transformers beats out the 3rd POTC or any of the Spiderman movies. Spidey will rule BD this Xmas.

Since Pirates has a wider viewing audience POTC 3 would win that battle. Of course it could be a close run with any of the Spiderman movies. IMO Spiderman 2 was the best movie... Spiderman 3 could have been like 3 movies if they had developed the characters more...

Isn't the top seller so far still Casino Royale or is Planet Earth the top seller?

It's either gonna be Transformers or Spiderman 2 (if individually released this year).

Casino Royale is the top seller as of now. I could see it holding that spot at years' end, but it probably be a movie released in the fall, when there is wider adoption of BD. Spidey 3 is a great bet, but Casino Royale has a head start. 300 will also jump in the fray, since it is the PS3 demographic.

I agree that POTC series have larger audience, but POTC 3 sucked... May be potc 1 or 2, more likely Spiderman.

Spidey 3. Despite it being a mediocre movie, it's still grossed the most so far at the box office. I think that we'll see similar stats when these summer movies come out on BD.

the top selling titles to date have been new releases, not catalog titles (on the whole). that being said, i can't see it being the original spidey, matrix, potc 1 or 2 (even though they have done great), etc. it will be a new release such as transformers, spidey 3, dh4, 300, etc. IMO, i think CR will have the lead through the end of the year. maybe after the holidays that will change as people go and use gift cards and what not. however, ill take CR and its 100k head start right now. also remember, this will be a hot title on the shelves as well given that it is a good movie and amazing visually and that a lot of new adopters will want movies like it.
