Nice! Honda really did a great job on the design of the new Accord. Is it the V6, manual/auto?

nice choice! I'm looking at a honda, possibly next summer. I've had extremely good luck with my acura integra (honda motor), need a 4 door though because of family.

i don't get what acura has been doing lately. they offer absoultely no coupes. Every model they make looks like a business car or a 6 figure Soccer mom SUV.

Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti all offer something a little less "stuffy," I really don't see what Acura is doing right now. However, have had many friends with Integras, who loved them.

I also wish Honda would bring back the Prelude.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. I really liked the prelude. The offerings from Acura really aren't what they used to be. They are way to expensive now and offer no coupes like you said.

Here's a stock photo of my year, though mine is a dark grey color...still in good shape for a 1993. I have people ask me if I want to sell it. Some people collect and restore them.

Nice upgrade! The Accords look pretty sharp this year.

My wife and I were trying to decide between the Accord and the Nissan Altima. Ultimately, we went with the Altima, but the Accord was a really nice ride.

Good luck!

A very big hell yeah to that. I had an 01 Prelude that I loved. It was the auto-stick though, which I thought I would like but ended up loathing. I bought it in May of 02 and it was pretty hard to find five speeds anymore. I still think the 97-01 Preludes are some of the best looking cars ever made. Since the Prelude was always their "experiment" car, the market seems like it would be ripe for some more offerings in the mid-high 20's, early 30's. Maybe experiment with one of those . . . what're those things that Honda seems afraid to use . . . oh yeah, turbos

honda is totally backwards when it comes to acura. they're just now offering something other than fwd, they killed off the nsx with no replacement leaving a hole in the lineup (then again, its more of a halo car but whatever), and offer nothing sporty. they finally put a turbo in a car, but its in an suv, so who cares. they need to get the v10 nsx out soon, put a v8 in some rwd sedans, and give us a turbo 4 convertible. and i'd be so for a turbo awd tsx, but man did they make that thing ugly.

as for the prelude, awesome car..never sold. too expensive and fwd. crx would be cool to get back too, and there's rumors of it every year, but that would cut into the fit and civic sales, so thats a no.

Do you think the S2000 took over the Preludes spot?

no, but since they're killing what the s2000 is by wanting to stick a v6 in it (just a rumor for now i think, but likely), i say they kill it off and bring the lude back.

btw..who's the spoiled brat that rates every offtopic thread a one star?

I'd love a GTR as well, but not with the problems they've been having. Many people have had their warranties voided and stuck with a 20k bill for tranny repair simply for turning the VDC off "too much." I love the car, but even if I had the money I don't think I'd go anywhere near one.

To respond to the S2000 replacing the Prelude, Acura's RSX/Integra was meant to fill the void left by the Prelude. I think the new Civic SI is supposed to fill the void left by the RSX.

well the tranny issue is still up in the air if you ask me, something fishy from both sides is going on there.

you're pretty much right about the honda stuff tho

To me it's pretty shi**y that they offer the car with launch control and advertise it as being capable of doing what it can do and then penalize drivers for using the capabilities. For 80k they should built it to handle what it's "capable" of.

Granted, there comes a point where people are just abusing the car, but the car should be able to perform at the level it's advertised.

agreed. but that begs the question, were they purposely abusing the car thinking nissan would replace it?
