Which one do you play?
I have played the Monsters demo over and over, but for some reason haven't bought it yet. Savage Moon was cool but for some reason I just didn't enjoy playing it all that much, and I have already played the Crystal defenders demo 5-6 times and like that one. |

Savage Moon>>>>>>>>Crystal Defenders>>>>>>>>>>PixelJunk Monsters
Savage Moon has some RIDICULOUS replayability, especially with the addon pack. Even after you beat the whole thing, you can still try to see if you can beat every level with just machine guns, or do it with none of the command credits used, or .....I mean there's just so much to do. Plus the Vengeance Mode. Easily one of the top 3 games I've bought for PS3/PSN. |

Yeah....unfortunately I stupidly bought it after my first post. Let me say, save your money. I might get $10 worth of play out of it....maybe, but I think I'll finally get PJM. CD makes PJM look like a $50 game. Savage Moon was cool but just didn't seem as much fun to me. Maybe I'll retry the demo.

Monsters > Savage Moon > Comet Crash >>> Crystal Defenders
I think that Monsters is by far the best TD game by far out of these 3. Savage Moon can be a toss-up depending on your style preferences but I found the camera/cursor mechanics of Savage Moon really irritating. For better or worse I prefer a TD game to have a 2D camera and all fit into one screen. In SM you sometimes have to change the camera angle just to select a square towards the bottom of your screen. If they had just made the cursor in SM float and everything fit into the screen when fully zoomed out I might like it better than PJM. Also, FWIW I'd pick Comet Crash over Crystal Defenders considering the cost for an upscaled phone app. |

EDIT: I just went to play Savage Moon and apparently they added a bunch of options that fix a bunch of the things I thought were problems... like the fixed cursor and auto-zoom. Turning off the fixed cursor also effectively makes the map 2D too! No idea when these options were added or maybe they were always there and I'm just dumb. =P
I'm going to have to play a few rounds with the new settings and see how it works out. |

Definitely a fan of PJM. I skipped Savage Moon entirely because of the reviews, but did pick up Comet Crash and have played it a few times. Not nearly as fun as PJM, I think.
Downloaded the CD demo... I think I'll pass on the full version. I like that with PJM you can get a ton of replayability out of it, especially if you're trying to rainbow each stage, or improve your score. My wife and I play 2-player co-op (a feature sorely lacking in so many games) and it's even more fun that way. |

Well, CD isn't too bad on the W2 world with the power crystals. At least that adds something. Yeah, the graphics would be more at home on my PSP, and still bad for that.

PixelJunk Monsters > Savage Moon > Crystal Defenders (probably).
PJM plays and feels polished in every way - every level is interesting and unique in its own right. Savage Moon had some quirky control problems, and I'm not enamored of the inconsistent nature of some of the higher level tower upgrades (esp. the minelaying tower). It's not bad, but it's much harder to tell when you're doing something at least "close" to right, which in all honesty is a pretty heavy strike against a tower defense game. I haven't purchased Crystal Defenders, but the demo did not impress me at all, either in the graphics department or the dumbed-down tower defense gameplay. Maybe the full game gets better, though. |

Precisely. I played the demo last night and wondered why this wasn't a PSP game instead. It's set up perfectly for it. On my PS3, it just feels like another PSone classic or something.
