Default Looks Like I Was Cheated.

I bought a copy of Die Hard with a Vengeance quite a while ago (December 27, 2008) and I just tried watching it on my PS3. On the PS3 menu it says AVCHD - DVD ROM and the image is of a DVD. When I try to play it, it reads "This is an invalid disc."

I just checked the seller profile on Amazon and it looks like he has ripped others off as well. Looks like I'm never buying a Blu-ray from a private seller again.

Post Script: I couldn't find another "I got cheated" thread.

I just got cheated from a scumbag on eBay.. My white DS3 controller didn't work and I shipped it back as he told me to.. Hasn't returned my e-mails for 12 days and I've probably sent him 8! Well thats a $57 lesson I gues..

That was probably one of the controllers from Hong Kong, which do not work with the new firmware update.

Thats a lot of money to go to waste. Isn't there some kind of a warranty/policy by ebay? (I never purchased an item from a user before).

Are you serious? You are right! Why don't they work? I was told any controller would work on any Playstation no matter what.. I don't think I can do anything about it - he just cut me off completely and now his eBay user doesn't exist.. But how come so many people own the white controllers then?

It really sucks considering it was my first purchase from eBay

I've bought a handful of used Blu-ray discs from eBay. I've been ripped off a couple of times--paid but never received the item. However, since I always pay with PayPal I have been fully refunded both times. It takes a couple of weeks, but better late than never. Both times I was ripped off it was by a person who had good ratings, but few in number. So my advice is to always use PayPal and always ensure your item works when you receive it.

The HK controllers are bootlegged fake controllers so sony updated the newest firmware to disable them.

THank you all! I would have never known I could file a claim if you hadn't told me! Thats why this forum is so great I filed a claim, and it said my dispute has been turned into a claim.. I guess that means they'll review it! I really hop there will be a solution to this! Besides the money, its just so low to cut off buyers like this unless he has a good excuse - which he might.. We'll see

But what can PP really do if he just decides to do nothing??

Yeah when ever I receive my Blu-rays I usually open them and chuck them into my PC and play like a bit of 1 scene if I have already scene the movie. And I usually try to watch the movies within 1 week of receiving them.
