Default Star Trek: TOS set

Sorry, not really news, but found this rather comment over at the DVDTalk Forum concerning the ST:TOS complete BD set:

Apologies for knowing absolutely nothing about Star Trek, but will they be releasing any more of these, or do season 1-3 cover the entire span of the original series?

Oh wait...it gets better:

One question does the picture fill the screen if you watch it on a 16x9 Widescreen TV?

The series was done in the 60's and I hope there are no black bars on the left and right sides of the screen like you get when you watch a Non-HD program on a HD channel on Directv.

So would it better to just buy the standard dvds since those dvds might fill the screen?

Blu-ray is not really high def if you have pillarbox bars on the sides.

I saw a preview for the Gone With the Wind Blu-ray set and it had the pillarbox bars. Not really worth it to buy blu-ray in that case.
In this day and age are we still in J6P territory?
