Anybody know this ebay seller?

just curious if anyone knows or has bought from the ebay seller you.make.us.number.1? this guy sells blu-ray movies, disc only, NEVER EVER with a case or artwork. i think it's fishy. he ALWAYS starts them at .99 with no reserve and free shipping.

what i find fishy, is the guy says he buys his movies from closeout video stores. i gotta call bs on that, because i don't think there's that many video stores closing on a weekly basis, and he ALWAYS has the new releases every week.

he already has listed and sold multiple copies of x-men origins wolverine, van helsing, and dance flick which have been out around less than a week. just days after their release, he had tons of copies of adventureland, braveheart, the informers, and still has them listed.

like i said, i find it hard to believe that many video stores are closing on a weekly basis and just willing to sell this guy their less than one week old releases at rock bottom prices. in my opinion, i think this stuff is either stolen or fakes. i've been trying to buy some movies from him so i could check them out, but without case or artwork, i don't want to pay over $8 for a movie and seems i get outbid every time.

I understand what you are saying but it's very hard to say maybe the guy is legit then again maybe not, unless of course you win one of his auctions & physically see the actual item & then make a decision if the guy needs to be reported

that's what i'm in the process of trying to do. i may have to break down and spend a lil more on one of them. i just hate to give that much for an incomplete product. checking over his feedbacks and have noticed a few people have claimed he sells bootleg items. of course he just responds and calls them idiots or children playing games on ebay and says he only sells authentic discs.

if he does, he's a pretty freakin good thief, because he's got an insane amount of feedback off of selling just blu-ray discs with no case and artwork. the guy may very well be legit, but like i said, i don't think there are that many video stores closing on a weekly basis and selling their stock to this guy for nothing. if there is, then i want in on buying up all these places.

Yea, That many discs, theres a Wal-mart somewhere full of empty cases near Charlotte NC Thats ridiculous....

Basing of his feedback, He doesnt ship with tracking #'s. As a seller thats an automatic claim loss

my biggest concern is where he's getting all this stuff. close out video stores don't make sense. the last video store to close down ANYWHERE NEAR me was before the inception of blu-ray even hit video stores. odds are, if it's just mom n pop video stores, can't be that many near this guy, and i can't figure out how he'd know some random mom n pop store would closing down in bumville, idaho.

also, it can't be blockbusters, because i would assume stock at a closing blockbuster would be dispersed to other remaining locations or sent back to the main headquarters and not sold to some random guy/ebay seller off the streets for pennies on the dollar.

at first thought, i would say, maybe the guy has a bunch of different people stealing this stuff for him. but that doesn't seem logical either. so unless i'm missing something, either he's selling bootlegs, or maybe he has some super secret industry connection. and i could be very very very wrong, but it is just really hard for me to believe the close out video store explanation.

I'm wary of auctions that only have stock photos and lack descriptors like 'New Sealed'. I've learned my way around ebay: this guy's stuff is phony and I would advise ignoring his items.

I'll be honest, ive bought a couple discs from him. Maybe this guy works at a distribution house that has lots of blus that employees can buy? I'm not saying hes not stealing them but the truth is no one here knows where he gets them. Maybe he has a legal hook up.

so the discs you bought from him look pretty legit? nothing shady looking and pq/aq on the discs were what you expected?

Sure, innocent until proven guilty, but I think it's safe to say with a 99% certainty that the seller's doing something fishy.

They are probably screeners. They are not the only sellers on eBay to sell BD w/o the insert/jacket/disc.

I doubt there are that many screeners floating around to sell, let alone BD ones. So unless this guy works at every studio, and happens to intercept the screeners before they go out, I have no idea how he's doing it. As if that would be a legit thing anyway.

I've bought from this guy before and he makes A LOT of mistakes. I got the Bourne Trilogy for $6 (he listed it as just the original). He also made the same mistake with Fast and The Furious Trilogy. I was not so lucky on the Godfather boxset though. The discs are legit they work fine and have no flaws. Hope this helps
