Default dvd movies on Blu-ray disc

Is it possible to burn dvd movies to a blue ray disc. What program is out there that can do this if possible. With 25-50 gig disc i figure it would be great to have more than one movie on it.

You need to rip your DVD movies into vobs, then you have to encode those vobs into AVC, and demultiplex the AC3 audio then you have to use a Blu-ray authoring program to burn it to disk. Or you can leave vobs as is and extract the Mpeg 2 video, the AC3 audio and use a Blu-ray author app to burn it to disk. Blu-Ray has a different structure than DVD as DVD has over CD. If the format is not within spec it will not work.

I don't have a Blu-ray burner so I don't know what features the OEM burning software has, but it will be limited. Besides, they will not include somthing that can be used for Piracy.

this is the method i use to encode vids to my PSP and Ipod, just minus the burning part, and instead of keeping the AC3 audio I convert it to AAC stereo audio.
