First Htib for ps3

Hi. I want to further my hd experience w/ my ps3 . I have a new slim 160gb and my tv has 4 hdmi inputs. I heard some positive feedback for the Onkyo HT S3300. Was wondering if this is the best DD TrueHD htib i could get with a $350 budget. Does the Onkyo HT S3300 support the ps3 blu ray player and blu ray games in DD TrueHD? If you have this system how easy is it to set DD TrueHD up w/ the ps3 ? Also in videogames does it sound realistic ? If an enemy is sneaking up behind u would u hear it in the sur speakers . sorry for the elementary questions.

I have the Onkyo HT-S3300 and I like it a lot! You get very good HTiB for an affordable price. Its built for blu-ray though and not good for watching tv. It sounds great with PS3 games and blu-ray movies. Buy it, you won't regret it.

I don’t have the 3300 but it's probably your best bet. It actually has game surround modes built in. If im right the modes are Rock, Action, Sports and Role Playing. I have the Onkyo 5200. It’s a 7.1 setup. It does not have the DD True HD. I play a lot of MW2 on PS3 and it sounds amazing even with out the True HD. I can’t say anything bad about Onkyo.

I just purchased the Onkyo HT-S3300 and I have the PS3 Slim. Now the PS3 slim has so many 5.1 sound choices and i don't have a clue which one I want. I see the different HD audios in different frequencies and the L PCM in different frequencies too. Any input as always is much appreciated.
