Taken is good, Big Trouble in Little China is good, and The Road Warrior is one of the best action films of all time.

Although a comedy, Hot Fuzz deserves a look. That final shootout/chase/fist fight was insane. Mission: impossible - III and Sahara are fun action movies as well.

its a good movie but its a very slow story with very few actually action scences

I guess I agree with that. It requires much more thought and intelligence than most action movies these days.
