Default Just hooked up my Sony KDL-52V5100

Just got home from BB with my new KDL-52V5100. Very happy with the picture and sound. Took me a while to run the diagnostics setting up PQ/AQ etc, but it was well worth it. I was going to jump on the XBR line, but figured I would put that extra money toward the future screen/projector fund.

My local camera store sold this model for $1299...did BB have better price ?

I picked it up for $1349 + tax. I got BB to price match Frys, and I had a 10% off coupon I got from the post office relocation packet so it came out to $1349. I was happy with that price. Most camera stores in Northern Cali are either out of business or going out of business.

Grats on the TV and I hear ya about the difference in quality. I replaced my Sony rear projection and went with a KDL-46W4100 this past March and was stunned at the difference.

Enjoy

Anyone have issues with the stand? When I look at my tv straight on, it has a slight slant to it? Not sure how to fix it. I refuse to have to "shim" the base.

Thanks

I love my KDL-52V5100. What a tremendous difference in PQ after owning a Vizio 42" 1080p LCD TV during the past two years.

I didn't notice it being slanted any while I had mine sitting on floor before mounting it on the wall.

Is it slanted forward or backward? If the latter I wouldn't worry about it from where you're seated if it's higher than eye level. If you are worried about a child tipping it over, I would buy a restraint to keep it from tipping forward any further.

It is just slanted from left to right. I am going to try tomorrow to take it off the stand and see if I can secure it to the stand again. Maybe it is just loose or something. I do love the PQ though...it is awesome...especially on blu ray!
