First Paramount titles: DTS USA, True HD Europe! - Blu-ray Forum

It seems some of the first released blu's in the USA are getting a better audio treatment in Europe. For example; Disturbia has a 1509kbps full bitrate DTS track in the USA. In Europe we get a True HD track (confirmed!).

cool. There are a few earlier Paramount titles I'd be interested in importing if they had lossless sound

Some of the Paramount titles in the US were never released in the UK/EU.

Most likely (realy hoping here but could be wrong) Paramount in the UK/EU have done a fresh recode to bring both the video and audio standards in line with there current releases.

I hate the French name: Paranoïak, plus it has the same DTS-ES 6.1 track as the US release.

I will keep an eye on that. Disturbia is confirmed. More titles are planned for release in the next months.

Tomb Raider will have a DTS HD MA track in Europe (Paramount release). Confirmed by Zonadvd. So another title with lossless in Europe, which had a non lossless track in the USA

The Untouchables will be the 3rd title with Dolby True-HD were as the US edition only had DTS 6.1 and Dolby.

Note that it's unclear at this time if the blu-ray includes Dolby TrueHD or not. AreaDVD is the only German site that states Dolby TrueHD. The rest of the sites state DTS-ES (so no lossy audiotrack).

Only site I have found was Zonadvd, and they seem to get the exact same disc as the USA. Unlucky Spain. As for that, there is no doubt Area is right with its specs.
