i wanted to pick up xxx on bd at future shop cuz it dropped in price, i like this movie but just wana know if its a good transfer with good pq? ive never seen any scenes from it and neither have my friends
the reviewer gave the pq a low score and users gave it high so theres mixed feelings... the audio looks like it rocks but is the pq worth the buy? thanx |

Take a look at how many user reviewers were banned... Many of them new members going around giving everything 5 stars, many using multiple accounts for whatever purpose...
xXx is well known for being a crap transfer. It's one of Sony's first few Blu's... A rushed disc and it shows! |

I've seen it and it looks okay, but very soft in certain scenes. It was an early BD effort and at times it kind of shows. But then at other times, it will blow you away. The BD only has the theatrical cut. The AQ was great, though. Probably worth it if you're a fan of the film and can get it for 10 bucks or less.

I agree with what has already been said; but I would go ahead and pick it up. It is better then the DVD version and, if you enjoy it, you might as well go pick it up. IF you are just waiting for a re-release, that has not been announced, you could be waiting a very long time.

You may be holding out for a long time on a re-release. The PQ is on the lower end of an OK transfer, but one I still wouldn't pay more than $7.00 for it, I would consider at $5.00.
Re-releases due to bad transfers are almost non-existant, the only one that I know of is The Fifth Element, which was a horrible transfer, and POTC 1, but that was due to framing. I really like the movie, and was really wanting to like the transfer, but if ultimately was just a big let down... ![]() More than likely if there is a re-release it will be the Unrated Director's Cut, not just a rehash with a improved transfer.
