Hey, those lazy sods just want more pay (already get 25+k a year), less working hours (30 hours a week is to much), and the right to shoot dogs that bark at them.

Mine come by courier as I have Amazon Prime. No delays for me.

If it's of any interest, play.com are currently having a problem with their dispatch system (due to something about updating their db for the new season, sounds BS to me), and i have it from one of their customer service supervisors that some people's orders are not being sent and they have no idea when they will be.

I had an item moved to "packing" (conveniently so I couldn't cancel and order from elsewhere and they took the money from my account) on the 25th August and it took me until yesterday to get a refund and the item taken off my account.

Even had some customer services drone tell me that I would have to wait for the item to be sent and then ring them up for a return because "it would be easier than processing a refund". They even rang the warehouse and then told me the warehouse had no idea when it would be sent.

Just thought you guys should know in case anyone is awaiting anything from them and hasn't chased it up. Ring them, chase it up, and if you want an email don't accept what they tell you, pester them, ask for a supervisor but don't ring off until you've received the refund confirmation email and the item you want refunding has disappeared from your outstanding orders sheet.

Is that so? I ordered a game 2 weeks ago at play.com and they're packing it since September 7.
Lucky I'm not in a hurry

It may be worth giving their customer services a ring and chasing it up as it was more like they had no intention of dispatching my order, almost like they had lost the paperwork kind of thing and it was never coming.

I would get them to cancel the order then reorder and see how that goes.

As an aside, their poor performance on a customer service basis (being lied to repeatedly about the refund being done yet it not happening) has prompted me to cancel all preorders and replace the orders from Amazon with whom I have never had a problem.

LOL, I am waiting for the cries to go up that this is just a plot by Warner Bros. to stop the shipping of the Oz UK Blu release and force Americans to buy the UCE.

Yes maybe I'll try. The thing is, the game I ordered got more expensive since, so I don't want to cancel and reorder.
I never had any real problems with play.com before, and I order quite regularly since more than 3 years. They aren't the fastest around but that doesn't bother me at all, as I only order "hot deals" from them.

I've received 2 broken items in the past, of course I had to send them back and they gave me a refund for the items + the shipping!

Lazy sod of a Postman we have should learn to push the post THROUGH the letterbox, not leave it creased and dog-earred in the letterbox

Maybe that's the reason that all my orders I get from amazon.co.uk now say:

Every single order in the last 5 years or so said: Shipped with "Royal Mail"
The last one that said that was sent on Sept 2nd

All future orders said Shipped with "Deutsche Post World Net"..

They seem to arrive faster now though..

Not every online store uses Royal Mail though. Look for those who use couriers like UPS, Parceline, City Link etc.
