Default glow lighting behind the screen

I have seen this kind of LED or rope light become quite popular
supposed to relief eye strain etc, that's all good but if you have some color like blue or red,
don't you think this would mess up your color perception of the movie?

Thanks Alan for joining this board (and I hope others). I have been referencing your web page for several years everytime this subject comes-up, however most people just seem to like pretty lights: "they just don't get it!" They must be running for Congress.

BTW - - I have had one of your lights on the back of my 61 DLP for three years; works great!

Thanks for the encouragement. Please keep in mind that there's plenty of room in life and the universe for differing priorities when discussing video system design and installation. I just want consumers to have a shot at an informed appraisal of what constitutes image quality for them. Most folks interested in better picture quality still don't understand that the video industry is governed by world wide standards. Image fidelity is still a foreign concept for most TV viewers.

Some folks appreciate the opportunity to see the picture the producer of the program intended for his audience. Other folks prefer the alternatives. or simply don't regard the issue worth their time and attention. I'm contributing to this forum because I suspect people investing in the Blu-ray format are potentially more discriminating viewers, interested in what really constitutes an authentic viewing experience.
