Who do you REALLY know at blu-ray.com??

Who here REALLY KNOWS someone else at blu-ray.com?? I mean, is your boyfriend/girlfriend/wife/husband/fiance/partner/aunt/uncle etc a member here too?

Members 'Lave' (my girlfriend) 'atat23' (friend) 'laners' (friend) and 'alanlad' (friend from work) are members here. I see them all nearly every day. They would not know about this site if it wasn’t for me.

So few of my friends know about blu-ray or have a ps3 so I was wondering if it is the case for most people here.. I know, we are all cyber-friends but is everyone here a stranger to you?? Or you do you actually know other members??

I can't say I actually "know" or "knew" someone who is a member here, other than as a cyber-friend. I think the closest member who I would refer to as a cyber-friend is at least 1 hour away. However, I know a bunch of members here who are cyber-friends (who I regularly e-mail or talk on the phone with) who would love to get together someday and hang out, BBQ and watch some blu's without the ladies around.

There are several people at work who are into Blu-ray's, but they aren't members here. I also doubt they are members at other A/V forums. I've told them about Blu-ray.com, but none of them has taken me up on my suggestion for joining.

The only person on Blu-ray.com that I have met is Steve (dobyblue), but I have lots of "cyber friends", including you Garlad!

And you John, and quite a number of others here at Blu-ray.com as "Cyber Friends". But I have never met any of the other members in person or spoken with them on the telephone (I take that back, one called to get some guidance).

There's 2 members here. One of them I see often (LeAnn, dating for 3yrs now), and one that I never met in person who helped me with my Audio setup (fireman325). Both live in the same city.

I guess it's only 1 person I really know

The rest are cyber-buddies.

With all the time and effort you put in to trying to get some members at your place for a comparison, I am truly surprised that none of them were able to take you up on it. That was a perfect way to meet some of the boys from here.

I can say I have talked on the phone with at least 5 different members about helping them with their set-ups, and would say that around 10-15 members I would consider good cyber-buds. I even sent one of my cyber-buds a card when his daughter was born. So, we have become about as close as cyber-buddies that you can, aside from actually hanging out.

he sent me a card when my daughter was born 8 weeks ago.

i have about 10 people on here in good 'cyber friends'
i run the madden 10 blu-ray.com league so thats 32 playing buddies right there

plus a member lives in the same city i do.....maybe one day we will meet up.

i wish everyone could meet up for a BBQ.......down here in south florida during winter time.

Don't know anyone and that's how I like it. I want to be able to ask stupid questions or say what I feel like without having to deal with it in real life. Although I do have a friend that goes on this site occasionally, don't know if he's a member but he has mentioned stuff I've said a couple times.
