For storage YES for playback NO. The concept of ISO it's already formatted to suit the disc. To look at it another way an ISO file is one file, but have 5 ISO files How would the player know which file to play without some menu control? You don't 5 CD ISO files onto a DVD.

this is what you would need.

1. a program that will write to blu ray

2. a program that can take and convert files to dvd format to write on blu ray

but once you get #2 there should be a option for you to take as many video files as you want and convert them all into 1 dvd ISO or DVD FORMAT FILE. so in essence you would have a 25 gig dvd format file that would play on the count that it burned and finalized properly

You'd want to reauthor the ISOs if you plan on playing them on a BD player. As stated the menu control wouldn't know how to read it.

Altogether not difficult if BD support has a decent authoring support. Don't know as I dn't have a burner yet.

Would the player just play the first ISO files and work its way to down the list. I don't think you need a menu. You might be able to skip chapters in a movie; it might skip to the next movie. I'm not sure how Blu-ray works, but I believe you can do this on DVD.

Roxio Media creater seems to let me do almost anything. I don't see this being a problem. You should be able to create your own menus and be able to play them in a standard blu-ray player. On the other hand 5 DVDs would be a lot less expensive. I haven't tried to burn one to to lack of blank media.

I wish peopel would stop using ISOs. There's absolutely no reason to.

And no, it wouldn't work like that because all the Video_TS files think they're "booting" the disc. You have to completely reauthor

Good point, I missed that. The point still being taking video from 5 DVDs and putting them on to one BD should not be a problem.

*applause*
iso is completely redundant since it doesnt compress and its the same size as the original files.

OP: find DVDDecrypter on doom9, install decrypt, create subfolders, burn to Blu-Ray, you should be able to play them on a computer with a Blu-Ray drive, but not a standalone Blu-Ray player

WW: you can store the files by creating subfolders. i play tons of movies off my harddrives, but it will not work with a BluRay player in which you cannot browse files. it might work with a PS3 though (since you can browse).

Most of those players will not read the Video_TS.ifo required for DVD playback, they'll play the individual VOBs, but that's maybe 10min each

many computer media players dont have a problem (WMP included), buy i imagine standalone players wont do it.
