The Program deleted scene - Blu-ray Forum

I'm unsure if the Program is available on blu but does anyone know if the deleted scene of them laying in the middle of the road during traffic is included?? I remember that disney had to pull the scene when the movie came out and I was wondering if they included it in any deleted scenes.

This is not out on Blu yet, but the DVD had that scene edited out. I am not sure if it is an extra or not on the DVD.

It will likely not be included in any upcoming home video releases. And honestly, I don't see this one hitting blu for a while. It's a 17 year-old, fairly low-level, nearly forgotten catalog title...

That's not a knock against the quality of the film, just the reality of its position in the home video market right now.

I haven't heard about this in a long time, and I've never seen the movie. But how tragic that a fictional film has to be modified because a bunch of idiots aren't smart enough not to try to reproduce a scene from the film.

It's a good thing people aren't trying to be Superman or Wolverine.

This is a very underrated football movie!! I used to watch it all the time back in the day! Not alot of people know Halle Berry is in it.

I agree that it is underrated. I think its #3 on all time best football movies. For me, it is only behind Rudy and Remember the Titans.

One of the top top underrated football movies

and that scene when
they lay in the street wish thier was a copy some where in the world

but I don't think it was put in any of the dvd's that were released, I could be wrong not sure though

The "laying in the street" scene only existed in the initial theatrical prints. After reports came in that teenagers were injured or killed imitating the stunt from the film, theaters were provided new prints that completely edited out the sequence.

No DVD releases included this as an extra and its inclusion could open the Walt Disney Company up for litagation. In fact, I am willing to bet dollars to donkeys that the scene was removed after one of the reports proved true and Disney was facing a lawsuit.
