It should be Han.
1: I refuse to believe Greedo could have possibly missed with that setup. Had he truly shot first, Han would be dead. 2: Han was a rouge, a scoundrel, a criminal, a pirate, etc. He knew what was about to happen. Of course (given the opportunity) he shot first. Plotwise, this was the biggest mistake GL made when altering the OT. Visually, that honor would have to go to Jabba in ANH. Last edited by OG Pooh; 03-28-2011 at 05:45 PM. |

I distinctly remember Han firing first. That's what happened when I saw the movie at the theatre - the weekend it opened.

I don't understand the question....... is it "what I prefer" ???
Who shot first is completely dependent on what version you're watching, i.e. pre/post Lucas-editing. What do I prefer??? It doesn't matter... I think I've seen the film enough times to not have my views of Han being "Good" or "Bad" or anywhere in-between, changed at this point. |

Do you also think he's stupid enough to not know that Greedo is about to shoot him? Han's character at that point in time was that of a criminal. Was he an all-out thug? No, but he was a criminal who was not only pirating, but was running from other criminals as well. Shooting to kill someone who's about to kill him is not at all off the mark. It wasn't even particularly frowned upon in the bar they were in.
