I was wondering if anybody can tell me how long on average an lcd display can last with backlight turned all the way up. Is there an average? I have mine set on 22 on a scale to 30. I really like the way it looks. But i know you are supposed to keep it down. Can it hurt it so much that it will burn out within a few weeks of buying the tv? I just bought it a few weeks ago. I calibrated my tv with the backlight turned al the way up. It was done before I realized the setting even existed. But I do like the way it looks. Any help would be nice. Thank you.

More like 60-100K hours. And that's a half-life figure, meaning that's the number of hours until the set puts-out half the brightness of when it was new. In other words, it's not something anyone should be concerned with, as you'll replace your set loooong before you hit those hours.
