Sony Upgrade - Blu-ray Forum

Hi guys! I wasn't sure where to post this, but I'll try here. I just put An American Werewolf in my player, and the player states that it can't play the BD. I've had a few similar problems in the past, and it was a simple upgrade solution. Pardon me, but I've forgotten how to find out via my player whether an upgrade is needed, and if so, how to apply it? I know that I have to go to Sony's site, but little else? Also, the Sony is the old style BP500? Whatever though, it's been a good soldier these last few years. Thanks in advance, onto giving Drag me To Hell a shot!

Here is the link to the firmware, just put what operating system you have and it will show the latest firmware. There should also be instructions on the page with the firmware.

They have install instructions a IR controller sequence that will show you the current firmware version. The file is a .exe ZIP package with a CD image inside. Holler if you have any questions.

Thanks, as usual. I'm installing the upgrade as I type, see what happens soon. BTW..I wonder if I finally got a bum BD? Never got one yet, hope I didn't break my streak

Disc popped out, says WRT FAILED 6 Any suggestions?
