Unique Halloween Costume Ideas

To expand on the existing thread to include those of us who don't wish to shave our heads...... please share your DIY unique costume ideas to help people come up with a creative Halloween costume.

Please keep them clean though..... doesn't have to be in good taste, but please don't make them offensive and within forum rules.

My son (who turns 2 the day before Halloween) is going to have a Browns Jersey, and a paper bag to wear over his head.....

not so unique but i went as a hippie last year and grew out my hair for a month or 2 before hand and didn't shave for 3-4 weeks......i rocked the fu man chu for like a week and a half.

i'll post a pic after lunch!!!

Supplies:
Dirty flannel shirt
Dirty tennis shoes
Dirty jeans
Raiders cap
Bag of oranges

Wear together while holding the bag of oranges like you are going to sell them.

Oranges can be substituted for roses or strawberries.

I work in a nursing home..... and we do Halloween up BIG here. We have costume contests for the employees and the residents, with a best group theme category for the employees. Different depts will pick themes and coordinate their costumes. I work in the therapy dept and there are seven of us. This year we are doing Gilligan's Island. I'm going to be the Skipper and my wife is going to be Gilligan. Her mother, who is a resident here, is going to be Ginger. We have the rest of the cast.... plus we'll have the Gorilla that kidnapped Gilligan that time.

I have khaki pants and a blue polo already... and my skipper hat just came in the mail today. I just have to stuff my belly and paint my hair gray, and I am good to go!

I'd like to go as Jason Vorhees since i got the mask and machete!

But i don't know what to get as shirt and pants!

For Jason Voorhees, you could run to goodwill, get a jacket/pants/sweatshirt, and then rub dirt and rub it into the ground until is has holes etc. in it..... basically make it as worn/dirty as possible, and add some fake blood

The best Halloween costumes around here are the ones where you'll still be warm since it's the end of October

This one could be easy....

Lots of fake blood, a pair of silky pajamas, and pull the head off of one of those Horse-on-a-stick things that little kids have.

here are some of the ideas pitched to my nephews last night around the table
interesting and maybe original
- get a gorilla outfit and a barbie and go as king kong
- 50' woman (or gigantica) -- either get BOB, roach and ling and stick them to your feet or just ordinary dolls like barbie
- add a black spot to the dog and the rest of them as the Scooby gang
- chocolate bar (for some reason one of my nephew always dresses up as an inanimate object and my niece was selling chocolate for gymnastics)
silly and drunken comments
- 70’s Pimp (after seeing a funky neon green and purple cap)
- A as B and B as A (i.e. each person dresses up as the other person in the gang, then when people ask who are you, the answer is amusing)
- A piggy back ride (use an extra pair of pants, shirt and a fake head, but then use your legs for the guy at the bottom with stuffed shirt and head for P1 and stuffed pants, your arms and head for P2)
- Redneck with fresh road kill (use an old unwanted stuffed toy and paint tire marks on it)

I won’t bother posting the really insane ideas we had.
