United Kingdom Fringe Blu-ray Delayed!

I checked my amazon account this morning and it still states pre-ordered, even Play states the same so I phoned round a couple of stores locally HMV and Asda. I rang 4 HMV stores and none have had any deliveries, they've only had the DVD edition. The HMV bloke at one store said there has been a problem with the supplier - was really looking forward to unwrapping this today! Anyone managed to get their copies yet?

I forgot about the released date but I hope they fix it soon as I would like to buy the blu-ray set in the next few weeks.

Both of my copies (one for me, one for a friend) have been dispatched from Amazon this morning. My local HMV didn't have any in when I was in this morning though.

Amazon UK is also the cheapest at £37.98 so it would probably be best to go with them anyway.

Just wanted to know before I ordered off Amazon.co.uk: does it automatically come with a slipcover/slipcase?

Hmm, this is annoying. I think it's the same for the DVD version too, because people I know who are not as fortunate to have seen the light and go Blu-ray, haven't had their DVD copies dispatched on Play.com. For me, my Blu-ray says "Order Taken" on Play.com. It's a pain, because it comes back on TV this Sunday and I was hoping to refresh my memory just a little. I sure hope this doesn't happen with Lost Season 5 next month, what with all the postal strikes which could happen. That's the one boxset I DO want delivered on time.

How many discs does the UK version have? Amazon.co.uk says 4 discs, while the US version has 5 discs.

It went out of stock on Play.com. I cancelled it yesterday and ordered from HMV.co.uk...it was posted an hour later. Play.com let me down this time. It's just annoying, because I pre-ordered it months ago, back in May or something like that.

Thanks!

And only a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, like the US version, yeah?

Sorry to be a pain, but could someone who already has the UK package to hand please let us know if, in addition to having the slipcase - thanks lee101! - and being the correct number of discs - thanks childofbaahl! - does it have the nice booklet the US version seems to have, as indicated in the pictures with this review at DVD Talk?

I don't actually have it yet, but all the boxsets I have (such as Lost) never include a booklet like that with it, when the US version of the boxset does. I don't know why, but they never included that in UK Lost boxsets. Could be different with this though, and I hope it is because I'd like one of those!

Yes the booklet's in there. Looks the same as the one in the photo. Just gives the names and credits of the episodes.

The discs are authored so annoyingly though. No main menu like other Warner discs so it just throws into the first episode on the disc with no chance to pick which episode you want first. Also all the episodes on the disc are encoded in one big block, rather than separately, so you can't see how long is left on the episode you're watching. Such a good program though.

Wow, really? That's such a pain. I have a few Warner Blu-rays and it always throws me straight into the movie. It's going to be annoying not being able to see how long is left. That means you can't skip to the end of an episode very easily if you just want to check something out, right?
