What's up with 20th Century Fox pricing? - Blu-ray Forum

"I, Robot" & "Independence Day" (old titles) retails for $39.95 and almost all of Warner titles including NEW titles like "The Brave One" retail for $24.95. What's up with that?

Its insane, but the only way to counter the price of full retail is to buy on line or find it at target or Wallmart. Personally, I'm just glad to have Fox exclusive to BD. Prices will drop eventually with more and more adaptors.

The $39.95 is a suggested price (The MSRP). They will most likely retail for 27.95 like most other Fox releases, which is still really expensive for catalog releases.

SRP is what you mean when you talk "retail for"

Warner new releases are $34.95, Fox's are $39.99

What they sell for in the store is what you're talking about.

Fox was $34.95 when the rest of DVD was $29.99 at the beginning. Their prices will drop in line with everyone else's, same as last time, as volume increases
