Hah, I partially know what you mean. Though the wife doesn't nag, I do yield some television time, out of courtesy, of course. No kids, but my birds require attention daily to the tune of hours. Mostly, it's the responsibility of a real career that requires one to be alert and well rested. I sometimes miss the old days when my wife would have in-house call for a weekend at a time or go moonlighting out of town, and I would have a whole weekend to myself. One could easily watch the sun go down and come up while playing. On the other hand, there is more to life than playing games, without some sense of balance, it can get easily out of hand.

I enjoy hanging out with my son and taking him to the park to play around. Hes almost 2 so at that age so much is going on that you dont want to miss. He actually has his own ps3 remote (old sixaxis that he threw in the tub so its his now) so he sits next to me as I play and he thinks hes playing lol

I see where you are coming from. My first kid (son) was born just a month and a half ago. I love him to death already, but when you have to help the wife at night and work all day its really hard to get any gaming done. I prepaid for UNCHARTED 2 before it came out and picked it up when it came out, get home from work and want to play it but couldnt because of the baby and the fact that it needs to be played loud!! So I just got to play it last night for the first time... it just goes to show you the difference... back in the day first day a game comes out its the day I start playing without a time limit... I miss those days.

Ya the days of all nighters for video games are usually long gone.. I'm married with no kids. Depending on work and daily living, I can still squeeze in a few hours here & there during the week. Usually I play on weekends in the morning or late at night.

But if my wife goes out of town to see her friends on a weekend and I'm not a bar...my eyes...

I'm a single, straight male, but I'd rather see Nathan Drake than any of my lady friends this week.

I think all us married men can relate to this tread. The wife nags a little when you kinda plays video games all day and don't help around the house or worst yet when you have the kids with you playing video games all day then she really get pissed.

I don't game but I have a 1 year old daughter. I was actually just thinking last night how I just don't have the time to watch as many movies as I used to. Lately I might get to watch one blu-ray at night after we get her to sleep. Problem is, I usually fall asleep about half way through. I think I must have about 32 half viewed blu-ray movies sitting on the shelf! But trust me, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! I mean that!

I usually play at night when the kids go to be. Try to get on around 9 and play for a few hours. Usually on the weekends I get my major game time on.

I hear you loud and clear!

9 yrs ago I was the leader of an Unreal Tournament Clan. 15-20 members. I arranged matches, scrimmages and practices. Did most of the recruiting along with collecting monies to rent 2 servers. All this on top of playing the game myself.

We had our first daugther which ended up cutting more than half of that time out, and after our second, I called it quits.

Good times but man, I spent a lot of time with that.

No kids right now but I've already had to cutback a lot on my gaming after moving in with the girlfriend. I have to give up the PS3 for TV time often (and most recently she's become addicted to Batman!)

It's not all bad though, I still get plenty of time...just not as much as I used to.

Eh, I get plenty of gaming time in and I'm almost 30, and I'm married.

I have a smaller, second TV on a cart next to the big/main one. So, I can play a game on the small one while watching TV or a movie on the big one.

I also don't plan on having kids (they are WAY overrated).
