I'm amazed by how many Blu's everyone on here owns. I have about four times more DVD's than Blu's. I have way more DVD's since it's been around longer, don't buy for pq like I do for Blu's, and a lot of blind buys since they're so cheap. If this is the same case for some of you, some of you must have 500+ and that's
![]() How many do you own? I own about 80. |

![]() ![]() ![]() That's A LOT of time in front of the screen!! 7000 x 2 hrs per movie = 14,000 hrs / 24 = 583 consecutive days. Figure losing 8 hrs of sleep and 8 hrs of work per day M-F and losing 8 hrs of sleep Sat/Sun that's about 194 weeks or 3 YEARS AND 9 MONTHS OF VIEWING!! ![]() ![]() |

Finally down to about 80 discs. Seinfeld, Rockford, Family Guy and other random TV that will not make it to Blu. Owned over 300 and gave them all away when I went Blu. Yes gave them all away, it was a great feeling. I will not watch any movie that is not on BD until it makes it.
I have the luxury of seeing a lot of moves for the first time again!! I will never watch.. Jaws Star Wars Indy The Wall And all great catalog titles again until they are HD Period And I am fine with that!!! Movies, Blu or nothing!! Until they get released! |

Not hard at all.
![]() I have enough rentals, owned movies and games to keep me occupied until they come out!1 Lets take the bloke that has 700 DVD's and 100 Blu's. In order to see each once, only once a year mind you, you would have to watch 15 a week!! If DVD's were collector items I would have saved them. They are not!! |

You have to watch 5.7 movies a week to see all of your DVD's in one year!!
If you watch the average of 3 movies a week (average here on BD.com), it would take you THREE years to se them all. DVD's are not an investment!! Media that will be outdated within three to six years is a waste of money to collect more than you watch. I have over 80 Blu's and watch repeatedly only about 10 to 20 in a six month period. Think about how many movies you watch more than once Bottom line Movie Home Entertainment is a waste unless you watch them often. Otherwise you are just collecting things that lose value. Can YOU afford that?? |

I have about 30 left. I had about 120 of my own before blu ray (The rest were my families). I have pawned off (sold/given away) about 90 of them. I am almost DVD free!
***This does not count my seasons of 24 or House. I plan on keeping these. |

400+ and counting...down. Will get rid of the favorites and replace with Blus. Also stuff with really bad video transfers, sound or pan and scan.
From what I've heard about films like Bonnie and Clyde, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, I may not double dip this kind of release of favorites until the Blus make it to the 5 dollar bin, or they are rereleased. I will buy them eventually. I won't replace every movie in my DVD collection; some don't have the replay value. |
