I have read all the reviews of every product out there so far. Now I need physical input. What is the best one to buy?
I kind of like the new sony player but I am thinking about waiting for the third-gen samsung. Maybe a PS3? what has the fastest load times, features, overall value for the buck, PQ, etc. can I get some input from the pros? thx Last edited by GoldenRedux; 07-15-2007 at 11:56 PM. |

For my money, the PS3 is the is BY FAR the best B.F.Y.B player out there. But I'm also a gamer so that factors in. The load times with a PS3, well... there aren't any really, so that's a plus. |

just hold out for the new samsung, also debate what your going to build around your tv and blu-ray player ,are you going to do surround ? build off what you have ,upgrade? are you ready for deep color and hdmi 1.3 ,do the research 1st talk to the guys here but if you get a player make sure its 24fps and hdmi 1.3
the ps3 is a good choice although i don`t have one i have the samy bd-p1000 1st gen player ![]() |

i have a 56" Samsung DLP 1080p projection TV. I am trying to find the over all best player. SO I have decided between the S300, waiting for the Sammy 1400 or the new pioneer.
I just have no desire for a gaming console. So someone help me decide between these 3! |

I'm not sure what type electronic stores you have in your area, but in mine I have a company called "Sound Advice"/Tweeter and they'll let you take home any thing you buy there and audition it for 60 days. You can return it with no questions asked as long as haven't destroyed it. I would say that you should add back in the PS3 into you're mix as well as this unit loads quickly and responds quickly. The Pioneer Elite is a great unit, but the Sony S300 is equally as good there's also going to be a Sony BDP-S500 in the fall. The nice thing about the PS3 "besides the price drop, Free 2nd Controller and 5 BD's" You have internet access and an ethernet port, gaming (which I know not a priority for you, but it's there), show photo's, movies and has MP3 capabilties, plus it's a terrific Blu-ray player to boot. It allows you to output 24fps and can output most of the latest audio codecs, there's lots to think about. Good luck!

the PS3 is a multi-task machine that covers so much ground I don't see how you don't get one if you are looking for an inexpensive BD player... as was said before...if you want to go top of the line, go Pioneer Elite... if you want the best bang for your buck....PS3.. |

which playerrs hold your spot in a movie. Lets say that I take one out to watch a different one then i put the original back in. Which bd player will resume from my last stopping point? My upconverting dvd player does that now but it might sway my descision on which player to pick.
Also, what about the new sharp player? supposed to be worth waiting for? so far the sony s300 has my vote. any other help? |

i suppose it doesnt really matter if I could pick up where I left of. I could just use that fancy piece of technology called the "pause" button in between bong rips...
![]() Either way tho, out of any of those three, you probably arent going to get a bad player are you? |
