Default Anyone else here donate plasma?

Just curious if there are anyone else here that donates plasma? I just re-started donating again a couple weeks ago. I love making easy money!

I wish you'd donate some into my broken tv.

Actually I have thought about it numerous times without actually doing it,maybe if we were as lucky as you and got paid for it I may have been encouraged a bit more.

In Ireland, they don't pay you for it? I'm not trying to sound ignorant or anything.....I guess it could be just like donating blood and all you get is a few cookies and juice!

I heard you feel very weak after donating blood. That is why I'm always afraid to do it.

I CANNOT, and WILL NOT say that it is for everyone, and everyone's body is different. Everyone handles/tolerate things differently. I guess if you have questions people need to ask their doctor.

When donating, my blood is being extracted (in cycles) and having the plasma separated out, and then my blood returned back to me. The process goes on until I've filled my quota. When finished a saline formula is added into my body.

http://voices.yahoo.com/donating-pla...036.html?cat=5

When finished I have to check out and my payment is automatically put on a debit card.

I've donated just blood (not plasma) four times, and the last time I did it, I passed out in the shower the next morning because of it. I plan to donate again though.

How much do they give you for plasma? How often can you do it?

Some people do. I weigh 120 lbs which is just above the limit and I didn't feel any different at all. I didn't even take a nap when I got home. If you give 2 bags of blood then you're gonna be feeling dizzy for at least an hour. I've never done it for money either.

You can donate 2X a week with at least 1 day in between. $20 for the first and $35-$40 on the second.

I used to do it but they don't let diabetics donate, afraid to ask my doctor for permission.

Default Thank You

I'm browsing the blue ray forums on my husband's profile. He's way more into movies than I am. But I stumbled across this thread and had to read it and respond.

It's nice if you get paid for donating, but even if you don't ever get a dime from anyone, please know that you will have eternal gratitude from people like me. My oldest son is still alive because someone took the time to donate. He was 22 months old at the time, he will soon be 14.

So, since I'll never know who the donor was that saved my "baby boy", I make it a point to tell every donor I run into THANK YOU!!!

Bubba Hotep's wife,
Ali

Only winos and money-hungry college students "donate" plasma for cash (IMO).
Well, I'm neither a "wino" or a "money-hungry college student" so if someone wants to compensate me for my "time" then so be it.

No... I am not giving away my blood .
It's my blood .
You keep your own blood.
But don't spill it please, it leaves a mess .
Don't forget to take good care of your blood. Pet it from time to time and if your blood container has a little cut, use your build-in vacuum to reclaim the blood .
