Star Wars: The Clone Wars Blu-ray

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Blu-ray Review

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Blu-ray Target

Not sure if this has been posted yet. I personally don't care about it, but I'm sure some of you do. WB will release it on November 11th. All special features will be in HD. It will also have a digital copy. There will be a steelbook for the DVD only. Target will have exclusive packaging for the Blu-ray (shown in the link below).

Target Exclusives always suck, like all their 3 packs for Blu rays are in crappy cases or crappy packaging (Transformers DVD and Ironman BD).

A crappy cover for a crappy movie. Very fitting.

I am in two minds over whether to get this. On one hand I grew up as a huge Star Wars fan and so far have found something to like in most Star Wars Material on the other hand all reports are that this was crap and I don't think turning a great Sci-Fi movies series into a kids cartoon full of fart jokes is a good idea. Probably best to skip it then and just remember the movies.

Nah, just episodes I-VI for me, when they show up.

Wish Lucas would finally let go of this and concentrate of using his higher brain functions for a change. Coppola did it with YWY, why can't he?

Or at least give us THX-1138 on Blu-ray. Even if it's only the DC, which is actually quite a decent reupholstering.

haven't gotten around to seeing this one yet. Wonder if it will have TrueHD. All the extras being in HD has me thinking they won't skimp on audio, but this is WB after all.

Even without seeing it, this is one title that makes it hard to keep the WB boycott going.

I really wish Fox would release the 3 seasons of the 2D animated Clone Wars on Blu though (1 disc please - it's only 2 hours afterall)

Oh - and I much prefer the Target coverart

Awesome!

Our first SW movie on BLU!!!!
This is great!

Even though it's a kids TV show, I did enjoy it and will definitely pick this up on release day!

I guess this means SW 1-6 will make it's way onto blu sooner or later!

Kind of off topic, but do you think SW I-VI, when getting prepped for blu-ray will actually need to have quite a bit of touch up work done? Considering high definition usually brings more detail, do you think this may show the age of the technology used to create the film? A perfect example is the scenes, at least on my newer SW boxset, that show the Imperial fighters with blocks around them. They aren't that noticeable but I can see them. I can only imagine how high def would present these scenes. Anyways, TCW will be a rental for me as I'm a SW fan but never saw it in the theater.

I think it would not need too much touching up. I don't want to see more new items in them. I already can't stand Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi. I hope he keeps the original ending in the Blu format.

aGREEd - besides G.L. is such a tool now or has been for a very long time... Ep IV-VI only for me... I-III don't exist in my world and this Clone Wars movie looks pretty damn bad.
