just started my blu ray collection so far i have both transformers, batman begins, dark knight, and the pirates trilogy... looking for something extremely scary with good video/picture.. thanks!!

The original Halloween is not only a great horror film, but also a great example of how well an older movie looks on blu (it's an amazing transfer)

If you are just interested in newer films, then yes 30 days of night is good, and so is TCM and Freddy vs Jason

House of 1000 Corpses has the best PQ of almost any horror movie on Blu, some people love the movie itself and some hate it, its up to you

how on earth could i forget about the shining.. buying it right now.. thanks for the other suggestions and feel free to keep them coming.... i plan on gettin halloween but never though it was really scary... and i actually hated 30 days of night.. yes i know im wierd everybody i talk to loves it

Three Horror based comedies that are perfect for Halloween:

Shaun of The Dead
American Werewolf in London
Young Frankenstein

Another one to consider is Repulsion. It's not a straight horror film, but it is a terrific psychological thriller.
