Default New patch for PowerDVD Ultra 7 (Sept 2009)

Cyberlink has just released a new patch for PowerDVD Ultra 7. Run your PowerDVD 7 Ultra, type CTRL-A, and click the upgrade button. Alternatively, click the CD icon with an arrow pointing upward at the upper left hand corner of PowerDVD window. You should see a link to download the patch.

If you can't see it, you can download the patch directly from this link
http://update.cyberlink.com/ftpdload...D090826-05.exe (Retail copy only)

The file should patch your PowerDVD to ver 7.5711.

I have no idea what's new with the patch but it shouldn't hurt to upgrade to the latest version. I am just grateful that Cyberlink even released a patch for older version of PowerDVD.

thanks for the info. question, why are they making patchs to PowerDVD 7 when 8 and 9 are already out? you would think that they would let you upgrade for free. perhaps thats not the case?

Simple, they are breaking 7 so you have to buy 8 and 9.

I haven't watched that many BD lately so I am not aware of the audio sync problem. Could you elaborate with the problem? Does it happen with all movies or just certain one? Does it happen with all audio modes? How far into the movie before you usually notice audio sync problem?

it tends to get bad fairly quickly, I usually end up pausing the movie every few minutes to get things synched. Might just be my setup, it would be nice if they kept HD-DVD support in the ver 8 and 9, oh well might have to switch to TMT if I can ever get it to work again. Think its time for a reinstall once windows7 comes out.

OK so the problem only occurs when playing HD-DVD but not Blu-ray or regular DVD?

no it happens on any movie, 7.3Ultra is the only player that I currently have that will play both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Unfortunately PowerDVD felt the need to drop HD-DVD support in their newest versions of powerDVD (8 and 9) leaving me with no choice but to run outdated and little supported software. I really just want to format and reinstall but don't want to go through the hassle of setting up Windows and Windows Media Center again.

I am going back to a 4XXX build and once I find one that works perfect, NEVER UPDATING AGAIN! lol

Here is a link to 4617a

If anyone can dig up anymore older builds, like maybe 4407, I'm sure many would appreciate them.

Have you tried installing PowerDVD 9 Ultra Trial Version? http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/t...paign=Homepage

Does it solve your problem? The new trial version supports Blu-ray.

PDVD 9 does not support HD DVD, which he wanted.
