In continuing efforts to deliver fresh, new and innovative ideas to the industry, Sony is pleased to introduce the newest offering available only on the PLAYSTATION 3 via PlayStation Network – .detuned. Developed by .theprodukkt, .detuned is a personalized, interactive music experience which gives users the opportunity to create dynamic artwork in real-time to accompany their XMB music collection. Using the SIXAXIS Wireless Controller, users can manipulate the given scene by interacting with and modifying its unique graphics, while at the same time changing and tweaking their own music to accompany the scene. .detuned's brilliant design and capabilities call for the state-of-the-art processing power provided by the PS3 system.

.detuned is another product from the demoscene – a passionate group of artists and visionaries who live on the edge of technology – and is proof of Sony's mission in continuing to work with independent developers to create and deliver non-traditional experiences to players of all interest levels.

It’s Rusty Buchert from SCEA Santa Monica again and I’m here to talk to you about another experiment from the demoscene that will be coming down the pipeline later this year. This one is called .deTuned and is made by .theprodukkt, who has been involved in the demoscene for quite a while now. They have done some interesting pieces, which includes .kkrieger, an FPS that is all done with one 96k file.

.deTuned is a bit of an odd beast that offers an abstract and surreal interactive experience like nothing else. It is not exactly a game or an art piece like Linger in Shadows. It allows you to create your own visual to accompany your favorite music tracks on the XMB, and using the SIXAXIS™ Wireless Controller, you will be able to manipulate the given scene by interacting with and modifying a man and his world. It even lets you tweak your music as you play with it.
