Default Need help with both TV and blu-ray

Hi I was woundering if you guys can help me out. 1st off I have the samsung 1200 blu ray player. I have it hooked up to my samsung 56 1080P DLP projection tv last years model. What can I say I got it 3 months ago from CC as a open box buyfor 900 buck. Well anyway I have it hooked up by A HDMI cable. I was watching POTC both of them and the dark shots of the movie look really grainy not clear at all. Well then I hooked it up to my other tv that has 1080i using the componet cables. and it looks all clear but any action happens in the movie the screen jump for a sec. Any Ideas on either my 56 tv or the player? Thanks

oh the player has the upgrades from samsung.

for the first tv, did you fiddled with the sharpness on the 1200? if so turn that off. + turn off any enhancements that the tv has, such as turn of 'DNIe'. It been a few weeks since I seen POTC but what I remember the night/dark stuff was clean & sharp. Most likely it is the TV since it is fine on the 2nd tv.

2nd tv, it maybe the tv's response time, need a little more info on what it looks like

Thanks for the info. Well the 56 tv I got from CC was a display model. So it could be the prejection. I did turn off the DNIE thing. and the player only thing I touched was to make sure it was sending out the 1080p to the tv.

As for the second tv its a Hitachi 42 projection tv. I looked at the menu screen and its set for HDTV. I watched 2 movies on it both looked very jumpy when there is action on the screen (example:explosions)
