I'd be curious to hear what people think about this too. I enjoyed the demo but never picked up the full game.

I adore Folklore. One of the prettiest and most underrated PS3 exclusive games, and it still holds a prominent place on my gaming shelf.

The song on the demo for the title screen is fantastic!! I used to fire up the demo just to listen to it. I want the MP3 for it.

For those asking, yes, I finished the game. It's not as hard as people think, you just need to be smart about your setup.

Are you asking about how the gameplay flows?

It's sort of like Devil May Cry meets Pokemon, with a dark fairy tale twist. You have a bunch of enemies that you have to face - every time you encounter new ones you can try to capture their essence, which allows you to summon them as you like to perform new attacks (which can then be turned on future enemies).

Every creature has its own special ability (usually an attack, but some are defensive or traps) that it grants you when captured, and the attacks differ depending on which of the two characters (Ellen or Keats) you're playing at the moment. On top of that, each creature once captured can be upgraded by sacrificing various items you find or which are dropped by defeated enemies - these upgrades do good things to each ability, like lower the energy cost, increase the number of projectiles, more damage, faster charge times, etc.

The challenge of the game is to traverse each level and get to the boss at the end, all along the way collecting and upgrading the necessary attacks you'll need to defeat each boss.

It's part collection game, part third person action game, part puzzle game, and it's got a neat storyline and really charming and unique visuals.

I picked this up the other day at one of the closing Blockbuster stores for $9.00 so I am pretty pumped about that and looking forward to playing it when I finish the bazillion other games I am playing right now. It's a great time to be a PS3 Owner!!!
