Default No Australian broadcaster for Fear The Walking Dead

Foxtel does not appear to have the rights to broadcast Fear The Walking Dead.
FX, the Aussie broadcaster of The Walking Dead will not be playing FTWD on the Monday after its broadcast in the US (August 24), when traditionally they express play TWD.

Showcase and FX had Breaking Bad, but the Better Call Saul rights went to Stan. I can wait for BCS (and will enjoy the BD on September 3).

I have been a huge Romero fan (creator of the modern zombie) for 15 years. I read online about TWD and I had to import TWD S1 on DVD to watch what most of the world had already seen via domestic broadcasts.

And now, FTWD is being broadcast in over 100 countries on various AMC channels. Australia misses out again (as we did with TWD). The US was halfway though S2 when we finally first got a broadcast on Foxtel.

Is the solution to have to wait for the US BD 12 months from now! and dodge every thread that exists or POV discussion about FTWD...
I can be patient… But I am not a saint.

I have never pirated a TV show in my life. If I can't get access on some form of f*cking digital subscription service (Playstation Plus, Netflix, Stan etc.), I may just have to break the law due to the bullshit involved in getting rights in this country. I can't help but think piracy may be playing a part in all this shit.

It is well into the 21st Century and we still have issues with getting TV shows in Australia. To make a Star Wars reference: We truly are like the Tattooine of the Empire. If there is a bright star at the centre of the "cultural" universe, we are the furthest from it.

As I mentioned before, with AMC global channel planing to broadcast this in over 100 countries, I guess we don't make that list as we are simply an ass backward country.

I could try to use HULU (who got the rights to FTWD) but will have to go through Getflix (re-routing service) to watch the show. Not ideal, not ideal at all.

With exactly a month to go 'til the international broadcast (minus Australia) of Fear The Walking Dead, is anyone else as concerned as I am about this?
