United Kingdom Zavvi 10% off certain steelbook orders and preorders!

Including those expensive Premium Collection white steels.

List below

http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/offers/...affil=thgemail

You have to get 2 to get 10% off, You enter STEEL10 at basket.

I just ordered 16 steels and saved myself £25
They were all cheaper to start off with than everywhere else too

I'd save quite a bit if I cancelled my pre-orders for Blade Runner and Human Centipede with play.com & I don't mind waiting for Zavvi's slow service but I'm wondering do Zavvi have a reputation of not packaging Steels well? I've never bought a steel from them.

Zavvi are normally pretty good with pre-orders. Sometimes they arrive a good few days before the release date. However they do only use standard jiffy bags. Doubt they'll use anything reenforced for steels....hmmm

What to do, cancel my 4 with Play and save £12 or pay the extra and guarentee my steels won't be damaged in the post.
Agh

You should put in the title "DENTED steelbook". Seriously...they ship it in a plastic grocery bag LOL. Good luck.

Seems they may have a bad rep then. For a £6 saving I think I'll just stick with play.com than risk them being damaged.

Zavvi are really good I think, I've used them for years and never had any problems. I think if you get a dented steelbook your just unlucky.

I ordered Demons / demons 2 with the a couple of weeks back and got it in mint condition no dents scratches etc so for the savings I would order but I may have just been lucky as I have only ordered once from Zavvi

I order all the time from Zavvi.
Yes, they are extremely slow, but sometimes they've nice promotions.
I bought the Jurassic Park Limited Edition with the figure for only 20 Euro's (16 gpb), I believe its like 50 or 60 gbp on Amazon, but I could be wrong. Well, I thought that was a nice price and I received it within 10 days .

But sometimes it takes months till my items arrive.
I ordered ''The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'' like 3 months ago and its still not shipped . Zavvi is constantly sending me e-mails in which they tell me that they've to get the item from the supplier and that they apologize for the inconvenience caused. Well, I won't cancel the order. I'll only have to pay if they ship the product and it was only 4 or 5 gbp for the blu-ray, so what the hell.

Do you get 10% off every two steelbooks you buy? So, if, for example, you ordered four steels, you'd get 20% off? Or just the standard 10%?

And is there a code you need to type in or does it automatically do it at checkout?

Cant seem to see that deal...I would save £10 even without the offer but I think I'd rather pay it then get even one of them turn up dented, it's bad enough getting them to send you things you've just bought, I can only imagine what the returns process is like...

I think i'll stick with Play.com. I'd rather pay a little extra and have a mint Steelbook than get one that looks like a truck ran over it

I just got an email from zavvi. "Limited Edition Steelbooks from £7.45. Buy 2 - save an extra 10%."

You enter STEEL10 at basket.

I ordered the steelbook of Total Recall at the weekend, and it's on it's way - along with 2 other blu's. Was surprised to see them send any of my order so quick

Someone remind me when they charge. Is it when they ship or when you order?

Thanks for the snappy reply.

EDIT: Eh. I was going to cancel my Hellboy, Ghostbusters, and The Evil Dead steelbook order from Amazon UK and reorder from Zavvi, but it's only a $4 difference. Between "slower" shipping times, potential packaging issues, and Amazon's fantastic customer service, I'll eat that bit extra considering what it's getting me.
