Default I Need your advice about a player....

I have the Sony BDP-S360 in my cart on Amazon for 151 dollars. I need a second player for my bedroom. I have no surround in there. I have one of those new Samsung LED skinny TVs hanging on the wall. I want something that isn't going to need to be updated often as I don't have an internet jack in that room. I have a wireless router another room. I have a PS3 for the living room and it is amazing but I likely won't do anything on the player in the bedroom other than watch movies. Is there anything that will offer me a better value than that player at that price or has anyone heard any rumors of a better deal on black friday?

I have heard that some name brand BDP's will retail for close to $100 on Black Friday. I cannot tell you which brands, as rumours is all they are at the moment.

You might try connecting on RedFlagDeals to see if they show any updated Black Friday sales.

If I were you I wouldn't pull the trigger just yet.

Right. Some retailers are hinting at prices as low as $49 for Blu-Ray players on Black Friday. Even now you can find them for around $100 at Walmart. Sears is also announcing Black Friday deals on the web. Look around, I'm sure you'll find exactly what you want. I have a Magnavox Blu-Ray player in my den that I purchased on sale at Walmart a couple of years ago. It is a basic profile 1.1 player, but has performed flawlessly.

You can probably find a Panasonic BD-60 for a good price. It's a good, basic player.

I guess i could wait. I just really want a player in my bedroom. I just dont want to wait and buy a junky 99 dollar player if the Sony 360 is that much better and only 50 bucks more.

You could also look at BDP-S560. Its basically the 360, but has wireless builtin, which should help since you mention there's not internet cable in your bedroom. I saw it a couple of weeks ago at Fry's for $199, though its back up now. You could watch out for that..
